I have been using a portable hardness tester for the past 10 years, my old unit finally broke and required a replacement, this new product is an excellent replacement, used the unit in Northern Labrador a couple of weeks ago for an FOPS repair, it was extremely easy to use and preformed the task very well.

Great tester very accurate results. Take heed to the fact this is not for small parts or parts with thin cross section. If it weighs 10 plus pounds you will get accurate results! We had to get a Wilson type tester to do our smaller tooling parts.

I have been very pleased with the THX281 portable hardness tester. The ability to calibrate the unit is a huge advantage over the older EquoTip tester I have been using since 2001. (My order number 1108)

I love the short DC probe for getting into tight spaces. I have used EquoTip products since 1991, and your products seem to have equal quality for a fraction of the price!

We purchased this hardness tester for checking larger parts that would not fit on our standard Rockwell testers. It has performed well for the applications that we needed. It was shipped in a timely manner and is cost effective for the process. It will also work when we need to visit customers that want parts referenced without tearing down the equipment. The unit is easy to use and understand.
